Send, Request, and Receive Money with Zelle®
Zelle is a fast, safe and easy way to send money directly between almost any bank accounts in the U.S.,1 typically, within minutes. With just an email address or U.S. mobile phone number, you can send money2 to people you trust, regardless of where they bank.
How it Works
How does Zelle work?
When you enroll with Zelle through the Bank First app, your name, the name of your bank, and the email address or U.S. mobile number you enrolled is shared with Zelle (no sensitive account details are shared – those stay with Bank First ). When someone sends money to your enrolled email address or U.S. mobile number, Zelle looks up the email address or mobile number in its “directory” and notifies Bank First of the incoming payment. Bank First then directs the payment into your bank account, all while keeping your sensitive account details private.
How do I get started?
To get started, log into Bank First’s online banking, navigate to Bill Pay (Transfer & Pay in the mobile app*), and select “Send Money with Zelle®”. Accept terms and conditions, enter your email address or U.S. mobile phone number, receive a one-time verification code, enter it, and you’re ready to start sending and receiving with Zelle®.
*If you are not currently enrolled in Bank First Bill Pay, log in to your account to enroll through your browser, then accept Terms and Conditions. While Bill Pay enrollment is required through your browswer, you may access Bill Pay and Zelle® through the Bank First mobile app after initial activation. You must be 18 years of age or older and have a Bank First checking account to use Bill Pay.
